چکیده

This study is to evaluate the effects of mineral detoxified nano-sulfur dispersion (DSD) on growth performance, fecal score, microbiota, gas emissions, blood profile, nutrient digestibility, and meat quality in finishing pigs. A total 160 pigs with an initial body weight (BW) 54.90 ± 5.10 kg were randomly assigned two treatments including basal diet 10 ppm DSD. During wk trial, there no differences BW, average daily gain, feed intake, gain ratio between control DSD groups. Also, emission not affected by diet. Dietary inclusion tended increase water-holding capacity decrease cooking loss drip loss. At week 5, serum concentrations glucose, calcium (Ca), cholesterol, high-density level cholesterol increased, triglyceride concentration was reduced fed than diets. In summary, dietary pig has improved Ca, glucose concentrations, lipid profiles as well improves some traits.

Evaluation of dietary fructan supplementation on growth performance, nutrient digestibility, meat quality, fecal microbial flora, and fecal noxious gas emission in finishing pigs.

This study was conducted to determine the effect of dietary fructan supplementation on growth performance, nutrient digestibility, meat quality, fecal microbial flora, and fecal noxious gas emission in finishing pigs. A total of 96 finishing pigs [(Yorkshire×Landrace)×Duroc] with an average BW of 73.1±2.5 kg were used in a 6-wk study. Pigs were randomly allotted to 1 of 3 dietary treatments: 1)...

Dietary marker effects on fecal microbial ecology, fecal VFA, nutrient digestibility coefficients, and growth performance in finishing pigs.

Use of indigestible markers such as Cr2O3, Fe2O3, and TiO2 are commonly used in animal studies to evaluate digesta rate of passage and nutrient digestibility. Yet, the potential impact of indigestible markers on fecal microbial ecology and subsequent VFA generation is not known. Two experiments utilizing a total of 72 individually fed finishing pigs were conducted to describe the impact of diet...

Effect of Phaffia rhodozyma on performance, nutrient digestibility, blood characteristics, and meat quality in finishing pigs.

The red yeast, Phaffia rhodozyma (PR), has possible applications as a component of diets for use in the animal industry. Its primary value lies in its content of astaxanthin, which has been shown to be an antioxidant several times more effective than vitamin E. A total of 96 ([Landrace × Yorkshire] × Duroc) crossbred pigs with an initial BW of 58.61 ± 3.05 kg were used in this 10-wk feeding stu...

Effect of Eugenol and Cinnamaldehyde on the Growth Performance, Nutrient Digestibility, Blood Characteristics, Fecal Microbial Shedding and Fecal Noxious Gas Content in Growing Pigs

A 5-wk trial with 96 ((Landrace× Yorkshire)×Duroc) pigs (BW = 26.56±0.42 kg) was conducted to investigate the effect of eugenol and cinnamaldehyde as feed additive in growing pigs. Pigs were assigned to 1 of 3 treatments in a randomized complete block design according to their sex and BW. Each treatment contained 8 replications with 4 pigs (2 gilts and 2 barrows) per pen. Treatments included: c...
